1. Purpose. Technological processes.
Vacuum electron beam plant "UEN-500" is designed for deposition of single-layer and multi-layer metal, oxide, and carbide coatings in a vacuum by evaporation and subsequent condensation in a vacuum on parts of gas turbine engines.

2. Features of the physical processes used.
The method of producing coatings by electron beam evaporation involves evaporating of the coating material by electron beam heating, forming of vapor flow and condensing of evaporated atoms on the surface to be coated. The process takes place in a vacuum.

3. Technical description.
Plant "UEN-500" includes the following main components and systems:
