Description

1. Purpose.
The vacuum electric furnace “SSHVE-1.2.5/25I4” is intended for carrying out various thermal and research processes at a temperature up to 2200 °C.

2. Main components of the "SSHVE-1.2.5/25I4" furnace:

3. Furnace design and operation.
The product is heated in a vacuum to a certain temperature, maintained at this temperature and cooled in a vacuum or an inert gas environment.
Structurally, the electric furnace made with a horizontally located chamber, and lids attached to the ends with hinges.
The chamber has a pipe at the bottom for connection to the vacuum system. The chamber installed on a frame, inside of which there is a vacuum system.
The camera body is made of corrosion-resistant steel and has a cooling jacket. There is a heating section and an end heating section inside the chamber.
The cooler installed in the lower part inside under the screens.

The chamber has the necessary inputs for connecting thermocouples to the heating and water cooling zone. The current leads and pipe are connected to the vacuum system.
The heating section contains screens made of tungsten and molybdenum sheets.
Screens made of heat-resistant material are installed on the end heating sections. Six heaters made of tungsten rod are installed inside the heating and end sections.

The vacuum system makes a vacuum in the chamber.
The vacuum system consists of two lines: a line for pumping vacuum out of the chamber with a diffusion pump and a line for pumping out vacuum from the chamber with a fore-vacuum pump.
The vacuum system has valves, a shutter with an electromechanical drive and a valve for letting air into the chamber. The vacuum system uses sensors to measure pressure in the foreline pumping line and the diffusion vacuum pumping line.

The water cooling system is designed supplies and drains necessary water for cooling the chamber, lid, vacuum system, as well as current leads during the heat treatment mode.
